All Osceola County Teachers Need Footsteps2Brilliance!

You've probably heard about Osceola Reads, our county-wide literacy initiative, and a locally popular app, Footsteps2Brilliance, the free reading app available to all Osceola County children. But did you know it can be used in all preschools and charter schools in Osceola County to provide free books as well? Osceola Reads not only offers the reading app to all children living in our county, but to all of our facilities (not just public schools) as a classroom resource! Are you looking for a resource to offer your families that promotes reading readiness for free? Look no further than Footsteps2Brilliance! The app offers 15 libraries of age-appropriate books with comprehension quizzes and interactive games to accompany each book. Users can also toggle between English and Spanish. In addition, the app fosters creativity with the Create a Book and My Journal features, and extended learning opportunities with activities in the Project-Based Learning section. There are different ways you can use the program. One way would be for the parents to self-register their child(ren) at www.OsceolaReads.com and use the program at home on a smart device they already own. The only thing you would have to do is promote the use of the program with your families and wait to see your students readiness rates rise!

Footsteps2Brilliance can be used in the classroom!

Another option would be to reach out to the Osceola Reads team! We can register the teachers and students directly with Footsteps2Brilliance so you would have access to their usage both in and out of school, as well as many additional teacher resources, lesson plans, and reports.

If technology availability is an issue, here are some possible solutions. The Footsteps2Brilliance app, once downloaded on a smartphone or tablet, can still be accessed without an internet connection! You can download the content that you would like your students to work on and your students can then access the material within the app when the device is no longer connected to the internet! One tip, though: connect to wifi or internet once every couple of weeks and log in to Footsteps2Brilliance to update the app and transmit usage data to the Footsteps2Brilliance servers.
