4 Classroom Activities Using Footsteps2Brilliance

Osceola Reads brings the Footsteps2Brilliance reading app to all Osceola County kids for FREE! And that includes children in the classroom, too! Footsteps2Brilliance is a fantastic tool for teachers that is easy to incorporate into lesson plans and provides additional options for students to practice their reading and literacy skills. To show you how easy it is, we've broken it down into four easy ways you can use Footsteps2Brilliance to practice literacy skills in your classroom:

  1. Provide your students with a prompt, and have them use our Create-a-Book feature to create their own story! Have them share their story with classmates by taking turns reading aloud.
  2. Use the games available in Footsteps2Brilliance as a quiet, fun way to practice a variety of literacy skills. These games are the perfect way to complement the lessons you are already teaching in your classroom and provide a little extra practice for your students.
  3. Incorporate Footsteps2Brilliance into your independent reading time. With 15 libraries of books to choose from and clearly defined reading levels, your students will have the freedom to choose the exact book they're looking for.
  4. Using Book Buddies, you can check in on your students reading comprehension. After they read a book during independent reading time, they can take a short quiz on the story they have just read. With access to reports, you can check in on your students progress.
